In the wet state, clay is changeable, malleable and willing to receive marks and strokes that capture that moment in time, The bowls are dated by re- cording the date in the wet clay on the backside of the plate. After drying and firing to a stone-like permanence, the clay ob- ject becomes fined, and hime is captored and held forever. The intent of my work and the Millennium Plare Project reflects issues and concerns that mark time, specifically from the old inte the new millennium, My concerms are political, sexual and environmental. I have already created bows for World Aids Day, Noise Awareness Day and Earthday 2000. Danny Kostyshin Milenntom Plate Project will be exhibited ot the Shadbolt Cenoe for the Arts March 23.
