I know many of you are sad to see Jan leave, | am too. Jan has been the “face” of the Guild and the friendly voice at the office that got me involved and kept me coming back. [| have been a member for quite a few years, but a rather passive one until recently. | helped out with the newsletter last year, mostly just on mailing day, and | volunteered at the Gallery on two or three occasions this past summer and fall. I took my pottery training at the University of Calgary under John Chalke, John Porter, Santo Mignosa, and Hal Reigger, more years ago than | care to remember, and have been involved in pottery for most of the intervening years one way or another, I have worked as a high school teacher, an office worker, night school teacher as well as taking my fair share of workshops and night school courses to keep up with pottery, computer and other stuff. I hope my experience will bring something new and of use to the Potter's Guild in the time to come. Thank you to all the people who have warmly welcomed me to this position which has been so well filled by Jan.
