The foilowing gentlemen was present at the Zoning Public Hearing and expressed their views on the proposed rezoning: Gordon Douglas, 3183 Rae Street expressed his concerns regarding poor drainage in the area, the narrowness of Rae Street and the need for a sidewalk on Prairie Avenue. He stated that Rae Street should not replace Freemont Street as an arterial route. Additionally, he stated his objection to the proposed plan of development that would see his property become a corner lot. Bylaw No. 2230: To rezone Lot 1, 2, and 3, Blocks 13, 14 and 15, District Lot 232, Group One, Pian 1932, New Westminster District, from RS-1 (Single Family Residential) to RS-IA (Single Family Residential). The property is addressed as 1488 and 1498 Pitt River Road and the rezoning would permit the resubdivision of the existing 3 lots into 5 lots thus providing sites. for 5 single family residences. The following people were present at the Zoning Public Hearing and expressed their views on the proposed rezoning: Mrs. Louise Routledge, 1498 Columbia Street presented a written brief and spoke regarding her objection to spot rezoning, the fact that there is no on-the-street parking in the area and her concern for the safety of children walking along such a narrow street. Mr. John Webb, 1498 Pitt River Road who objected to having five backyards border his side yard and also expressed concern for child safety in this area.
