We acknowledge with thanks receipt of your letter dated April 27th, 1972 concerning the above~noted subject and in reply thereto we would advise that when the same was placed before a regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of tha City of Port Coquitlam held on May 15th, 1972 the following resolution was passed: "That the letter from Hr. C.W. Rump, Secretary, Teleconmmunication Committee, Canadian Transport Comaission, April 27th, 1972 concerning certain telephone toll charges imposed on residents of Port Coquitlam, be received for information; AND THAT a further letter be directed to Mr. C.W. Rump of the Canadian Transport Comission thanking hin for his kind reply, and pointing out specifi- cally that the City's complaint was in regard to the quality of service provided by the B.C. Telephone Company, which has not improved appreciably since the Public Hearing held in June, 1971; also, that the decision resulting from the plebicite conducted in 1961 based on outlying areas is not now germaine to the existing situation." , Additionally, the following resolution was also passed: "That in view of the increase in population sinca the last plebicite held in 1961, the B.C. Telephone Company be requested to conduct another such | poll in Port Coquitlam to obtain a current opinion with respect to telephone Yates; AND THAT a mecting ba arranged with officdals of the B. C.
