Alderman t Mabbett stated he agreed with the view expressed by Alderman Ranger, and members of Gouneil generally were not in favour of the water extension to the Langley sunicipalities under the conditions proposed by the Commissioner. Moved by Alderman Never: Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam go on record as not favouring the provision of water service to the City and Town~ ship of Langley by the Greater Vancouver Water District at this time. So, -removal of petition from residents of that municipality requesting the removal of the road road block- Woodland Dr block closing off the aecess between Woodland Drive in Port Coquitlam and Pipeline Road in the District of Coquitlam. The City Clerk also advised that four letters from residents of the City had been received opposing the proposed removal of the road bleck. The second item in the report referred to the Coquitlam and Dist- rict Hospital, stating that when this was approved the forecast size of the fac- ility based on the 1969 Management Science Report was 225 acute beds and 75 ex- tended care beds; however, ata neeting in late August between the Minister of Health Services and Hospital Insurance and representatives of the Regional Dist- rict, the Hospital.
