West Fraser’s Gerry Miller said the company, after speaking with Repap representatives, has withdrawn the writ of summons it filed just prior to Christmas. West Fraser has an agreement with Repap in which ils North Coast Timber mill in Prince Rupert supplies chips to Repap’s Watson Island pulp mill for four years. Shipments started last January and the pact called for payment within 21 days of the end of cach month. The payment sought is for the months August through November. Miller declined to comment on the details of the agree- meni. Cypress flights end SMALL UPSTART airline Cypress Air bas ended its flights lo northern B.C. Slurpee palace coming to town TERRACE will get its first 7-Eleven convenience store in 1997, Construction is expected to begin when ground can be broken on conversion of the old Petro Canada service station on Lakelse Ave. to a 7-Eleven. 7-Eleven Canada spokes- man Trish Lee said they plan to open the store by the end of summer. ‘*The Slurpee is coming to Terrace,’* she pronounced. Terrace news junkies will have more to cheer than Slurpees, however. Lee says 7-Eleven slores typically include an in- tensive newsstand featuring an average of 200 maga- zines and 40 newspapers. They'll also have fresh in- store made sandwiches and Chesters’ Fried Chicken. 7-Eleven recruiters have already begun their search for staff in Terrace. Lee said the store is ex- pected to provide about 10 to 12 jobs.
