Stella Miller particularly enjoyed ceramics displays during the Arts and Crafts Fair at Skeena Mall, Home crafts sell well The Arts and Crafts Fair held once a year at the Skeena Mall seems to have become an _ estab- lished tradition for residents in the Terrace area, by Daniele Berquist Gail Currie, Skeena Mall manager, said the fair was most successful. “We had over 50 spots available, which gives a wide selection of home- made crafts to the public. Over the years it has become very successful. People are already book- ing for next year.’’ Quite often, said Currie, we are booked solid by the montn of August, and we nor- mally have had to turn people away. The fair is a non-profit organization, Currie said. The fee is $30 for three days which includes chairs. and a table. ‘‘It’s really not a bad price since most malls charge $200 and up.’’ She said, “It’s a great opportunity for peo- ple to make money with their homemade crafts, and it’s our way to say thank you for your patronage.”’ Julie Ross crafted this beautifu! dog and Cabbage Patch doil. Ross sald this was her third time participating in the arts and crafts falr sponsored by Skeana Mall. Rita Pucci visited the Arts and Crafts sale held at Skeena : Mall. She said she returns every year to see the homemade crafts selactions. $ Ella Vienneau from Nall 'n Needle Craft, took part in the Arts and Craits Fair recently, at Skeena Mall.
