_ Whereas Saturday night the
Cenis had put together a
commendable game, Sunday
they couldn't hang together for

_ longer than a period. A failure

io head a man the puck to
breaking wingers and some
problems clearing the puck in
thelr owt end were two factors
contributing lo their 7-1 defeal.

Althaugh the two leams were
deadlacked 1-1 after. tha first

edge in play but weren't getting

who sparked the Cohees vic-

while Dave Sharpe connected
for the Cents. :

The Cohoes jumped into a 4-1
lead in the secoond, scoring at
7:47, 16:1, and 16:20 in the
period and then scored three
limes in the third.

Individual Cents played a
good all-out game but a lack of
yeam work and the faet that Ihe
puck just wouldn't bounce for

them, cost the locals the badly
needed (wo points. °

As it stands now, the Cents
are In need of something ap-
proaching & miracle ,. to take

over the fourth and final play- -
off spol. They'll have to win

their remaining four games
while the Cohoes are held
winless. The four teams they'll
face are the Prince Rupert
Halibut Kings, tonight in Prince
Rupert, the Prince Gearge
Spruce Kings and the Van-
derhoot Junior Bears in ‘Terrace
this weekend (not the Smithers
Totems as reported in last
week's Heraldjand then the
Prince Rupert Halibut Kings
again, next Wednesday for their
final home game of the year.

The Cents could doit. If they
play the hockey they played

here two weeks ago they should -

take Vanderhoof andhave a fair

‘chance against: the Spruce

Kings fram Prince George. As
for the Halibut Kings, the Cents
have only beat them ange, but in
decisive fashion, by an 11-4
count. Mathematically it's still
possible. All the Cents have to
do is play the best four ga mes of
(he year in ong week period and
then, some haw, talk the
Kitimat Cohoes into losing their
last three games.
