ICT 0 3 1994 NOV 1 4 1994 A Bylaw to authorize an agreement with the Coquitlam Indian Band Whereas Section 286.1 of the Municipal Act provides that City Council may by Bylaw, with the approval of the Inspector of Municipalities, enter into an agreement with the Council of an Indian Band to provide a municipal service to lands within a reserve, 48 defined in the Indian Act (Canada); And whereas the City Council and the Council of the Coquitlam Indian Band, also known as the Kwayhquitlam Nation, have agreed on the provision of municipal fire fighting and assistance response services within Coquitlam Indian Reserve No. 2; Now therefore the Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: |, This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as "Coquitlam Indian Band Fire Services Agreement Bylaw, 1994, No. 2935". The agreement attached as Schedule "A" to this Bylaw is approved on behalf of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute and affix the Corporate Seal to the agreement attached as Schedule "A" to this Bylaw, and to execute all other documents as may be necessary for the implementation of the agreement.
