BACKGROUND: A letter was received from Leigh Square Holdings requesting the City consider changing the parking limits on Wilson Ave. A nedical building was recently built on Wilson west of Kingsway across the street from the Recreation Centre. See Figure 1. As the facility is now in use, on street parking has become an issue for the users of the building. EXISTING CONDITIONS: Presently there ig no time limit for parking on hoth sides of Wilson except for a 'No Parking' zone and two bus zones between Kingsway and Mary Hill Road. See Figure 1. ‘The parking lot adjacent to the building has a capacity of 54 vehicles most of which is used by the building staff. As the building comprises mostly of medical offices, a high rate of short visits occur at this location, Parking limits for the previous location of this facility was a 2 Hour limit (Leigh Square). Acrogs the street is the Poco Recreation Centre, the parking lot has designated areas for all day parking to accommadate ‘Park and Ride' users.
