Fide: 05 06 86/03 City of Port Coquitlam, 2972 McAllister Street, Port Coquitlam, 8.C. V3C 2A8 Attention: Mr. Ron Freeman, Municipal Cl Dear Sirs: Subject: Proposed Pump Station at Mason Avenue and Oxford Street We are writing to you to request Port Coquitlam Council's approval for the construction of a water pumping station by the District of Coquitiam on the unopened Mason Avenue road allowance within your City. Qur proposed location of the pump station is shown on the attached sketch plan. Construction of this station has become necessary due to falling summer head available at the terminus of the Greater Vancouver Water District's Oxford Heights main. Qur experience during the summer of 1986 and previous years, has been that the GVWD system will not supply sufficient head to provide gravity service to Zone 1 of our water system, nor to supply sufficient suction pressure to our Zone 2 pump station. The propased ' Station will boost the head available from the Oxford Heights main to the level required to guarantee water for domestic consumption and fire protection to our residents in the Burke Mountain area. - We ask that you forward this request to Port Coquitlam City Council for their consideration. | | A copy of this letter is ‘being forwarded to Mr. Fred Peters for his information.
