Re: By-law to Control Piggeries

; The Environmental Protection Committee has drafted a By-law
to. provide for the regulation of piggeries and hope to have this ready
to circulate toe Council for discussion on Monday evening.

. The Committee feels that certain other uses in the Agricultural
area should also be considered, e.g. the establishment of feed lots, operation
of poultry farms, etc. The Committee will be pursuing further regulations
in this regard.

The Committee hopes to have the draft By-law ready for circulation
on Menday evening. It is not possible to restrict or control development
in the Agricultural area until some sort of regulatory By-law is passed and
therefore there is some urgency in getting a By-law in place.
