THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM C 0 UJ \ + vewo JAN 31 1977 MAYOR AND COUNCIL DATE: JANUARY 26, 1977 PLANNING AND ZONING COMMITTEE RE Request of PoCo Valley Golf & Country Enterprises Ltd. to Construct 4 Outdoor Tennis Courts. In response to the above request, the Planning and Zoning Committee on January 25, 1977 met with Mr. Robert Groulx of PoCo Valley Golf & Country Club and reviewed the section of the Zoning Bylaw relating to accessory uses in the P-3 zone. This section of the Bylaw reads as follows:- "Accessory buildings and uses shall be confined to activities customarily associated with the principal use." The principal use in this case is Golf Course. The Committee is of the opinion that tennis courts are common nowaday as an integral part of Golf Clubs and therefore wishes to recommend that Council endorse the interpretation of the above section of the Zoning Bylaw to the effect that tennis courts are accessory use customarily associated with Golf Course Use.
