CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM COUNCI DEC - 4 1975 A. Freeman, City Clerk November 27th, 1975 Chernoff, Senior Building Inspector Chairman of Building and Protection Committee, Len Traboulay wished this to go to Council. - Building and Protection Committee meeting of November 25th, 1975. Attached is a comparison of plumbing permit rates of neighbouring Municipalities. Our Proposal is $6.00 a fixture up to ten (10), $5.50 a fixture thereafter. (Presently $4.00 first fixture, $3.50 thereafter.) Last increase I believe was in 1974. Comittee recommends approval. Modular home adoption by-law. Enclosed is Solicitors letter also a xeport of Building Inspector. Farm Building Code Adoption. Committee recommends adoptbn of Farm Building Code to the Building By-law. In 1975 the Provincial Government amended the National Building Code adopting by-law to exclude the Farm Building Code as a mandatory document for adoption. It appears this was done to exclude regulation farm areas ‘+: in large farming Commmnities in outlaying areas. In Port Coquitlam we have a farm area, however being a fast growing urban centre it appears very necessary to have a minimm regulatory by-law. If we do not adopt the farm code, we will only require conformity to the Zoning By-law for farm buildings.
