The boy is in critical condition with severe head injuries, according to Terrace RCMP. The accident happened on the access road parallel to Hwy 16 East near-Nov ony St. at about 8: 45: p.m. on Apr. 20. RCMP Cpl. R.G. Minhinnic said a 25-year-old man who was driving a 1995 Pontiac Sunfire i is s being questioned by police. A witness to the accident took the boy to hospital before emergency vehicles arrived. The driver accom- panied them to hospital. Girl safely found A YOUNG GIRL who wandered away. from her Simpson Cres, home in the Copper Mt. subdivision on Suturday was found unharmed a few hours later. It turns out the youngster decided to wander over to the neighbour's. house. She spent 2 few hours colouring happily until she was found. ‘I'd like to thank the neighbours in the area for their help,” said Staff Sst. John Veldman. “You wouldn’t believe of the response we got from the immediate vicinity, It’s a great example of community policing.” Man trapped under car POLICE SAY a man who lost control of his car west of town Saturday night is lucky to be alive. RCMP said Victor Edward Dollemore lost con- trol on a corner, overturned and went down an embankment. Dollemore, of Terrace, was thrown from the vehi- cle and then trapped beneath it. Police said his pas- senger was able to escape and summon help, Firefighters treed Dollemore, who was transport- ed to Mills Memorial Hospital and teated for injuries. “He somehow survived it,” Staff Sgt. John Yeldman said. The passenger was treated for minor cuts and abrasions. Police said alcohol and speed were factors in the accident and their investigation is continuing. Three injured in crash THREE PEOPLE were injured when the car they were in left the road and flipped over on the highway to Kitimat Sunday moming. Police said the northbound ar was destroyed and ° the driver and one passenger were apparently ejected from the vehicle. The accident happened five kilometres south of the airport at about 8 a.m. None of the injuries were life-threatening. RCMP say their investigation is ongeing.
