Church welcomes pastor

THE CONGREGATION of the
Seventh Day Adventist Church
welcomed a new pastor recently
- When Jeff Potts arrived from
Smiths Falls, Ontaric.

His wife Nancy grew up in 100
Mile House and met Jelf one
summer when he was working at
a. Williams Lake mill to pay his
way through school,

‘Afier they married, Jeff con-
tinued his education at Lacombe,
Alta., and finished his Masters

degree in Michigan,

The congregation's pride right
now is in the rapid construction
of the new church and school at
the comer of McConnell and
Kalum Lake Drive,

The building continues, and
electrical and plumbing work has
becn completed and the concrete
slab bas been poured, Framing
has begun and the building is be-
ginning to rise,

Enrolment at the independent

school has increased and there
will be further room for expan-
sion with the new facility.

Pastor Potts has expericnce in
self-improvement seminars, such
as stress reduction, parenting,
health and nutrition, stop smok-
ing, and is looking forward to
using the new location to fill the
needs of the community in this
capacity,
