COUNCIL THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM MAR 17 1986 MEMORANDUM TO: B. Kirk March 7, 1986 City Administrator Seaview BRel porsete FROM: F.E. Peters, P. Eng., City Engineer SUBJECT: Parking restrictions on Elgin west of Shaughnessy Street - Public Works Committee - March 4, 1986 Me ee i et RL Nt evi ebb, Recommendation: : That "Two Hour Parking" signs be installed on both. sides of g g Eigin Avenue between Shaughnessy Street and the lane west of Shaughnessy Street. Background and Comments: Under the existing Traffic Bylaw the portion of Elgin Street west of Shaughnessy is designated as a no parking zone. This is because of the previously narrow road. Since the road has. been ‘widened there is now room for parking on both sides until such time as the intersection is signalized. The Committee feels that the most suitable desi ignation for thi street would be two hour parking which would be consistent with ‘other parking in the vicinity. Longer term parking is available in the public parking lots. F.€. Peters City Engineer
