Funeral services were held Saturday for Cecil Donald McKay who had resided in Terrace for the past nine years. Services were held at 1 p.m. at Knox United Church. Cremation followed in Prince George. McKay, who was 62 years old, Mackay services are held is survived by his wife, Naomi and a son. He was a retired farmer and carpenter in Terrace. A native of Brandon, Manitoba, he lived at 4604 Tuck Avenue, Pipers thank MD, hospital Mrs. Eileen Piper, whose husband John died recently, wishes to thank Dr. Patterson, the staif at Mills Memorial Hospital, the Department of Highways, McKay's Funeral Home, Father Sweeney, Santa's Anonymous and all friends for their help and comfort. Mr. Piper is survived by his wife and children Diane, Rodney, Shelly, Connie Lee and Robert, all at home. CFTK ‘PRESENTS ‘THE MUNIPULATORS’ New TV drama from Vancouver That Vancouver probation and parole officer Rick ‘Nicholson ‘returns to CBC network television on Sunday, January 31, on CFTK television at 9 p.m.,, (in color) for a new seven-week season of in- volvement in the lives of problems of his clients. Mare Strange again stars as Rick in CBC-TV's second round of The Manipulators, the Vancouver-produced series which made an impressive bow last season with an initial five: episodes. The mini-series was well received, both by audiences and crilics, Philip Keatley, who guided the initial series as executive producer, serves in the same capacity for the new-season Manipulators. SEVERAL WRITERS Writers of the various episodes include several who contributed scripts to the first series: Ben Maartman, who wrote the debut episode on drug addiction last season (Spike ‘in the Wall); and Don Eccleston, . wha also directs. “has twoscripts in the new series ''— The Code (for telecast Feb. 7) and X-Kalay (March 14). Eccleston is writer and producer-director of the initial episode of the new series, Turn to the Wind, to be seen on CFTK January 31. Chief Dan, who recently won the New York Film Critics’ Award as “best supporting actor” for his roie in Little Big . Man, began his career in CBC- TV's Cariboo Country in the early 60's.
