The Public Works Committee felt that the following Traboulay items should be discussed by Council In Committee prior to appearing in open Council. ITEM I Re: Chester at Shaughnessy "ntersection Complaints have been received from residents of Fraser Avenue west of Shaughnessy Street and from the Catholic Church on Shaughnessy Street that a.great number of cars are turning around in the driveways or making a U-turn on the street. Upon investigation, it is apparent that these turning i movements are made by people leaving Chester Street northbound - who want to go south on Shaughnessy but cannot make a left turn at Chester because of the median on Shaughnessy. These people find it quicker and easier to make turn around in somebody's driveway than to go around the block It is not known whethsr these trips originate at the park or at the bucinesses, along Coquitlam Avenue or whether it is through traffic from Coquitlam Avenue. combination of all of these. via Flint and Fraser.
