Eng., FILE: PWC City Engineer SUBJECT: STORM SEWER EXTENSION - SALISBURY AVENUE NEAR FLINT (Public Works Committee Meeting of February 1, 1994) That Council approve the installation of a 250 mm (10") diameter storm sewer on Salisbury Avenue from Flint Street to approximately 50 metres west, at an estimated cost of $13,692.82. That $13,692.82 be allocated from the Special Public Works Capital Reserve for this purpose. | There have been on-going drainage problems at 2116/20 Salisbury Avenue for several years. As there was no storm sewer available in the area at that time, the City installed two soak away type catch basins to. help dissipate the storm run-off, Over time, silt has plugged the soak away catch basins and the problem with drainage is reoccurring. | A storm sewer has recently been installed on Flint Street in 1993 complete with a connection for a future extension on Salisbury Avenue. It is recommended that the City authorize the installation of 50 metres of a 250 mm (10") diameter storm sewer, complete with catch basins at 2116/20 Salisbury Avenue at an estimated cost of $13,693.
