July 12, 193/209 A Public Hearing pursuant to Section 956 of the Municipal Act was held prior to the Council Meeting of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, BC on Monday, July 12th, 1993, at 7:30 p.m Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Councillors, M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, R.H. Talbot, and M.R. Wright were in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk S. Rauh, City Engineer LR. Zahynacz, and City Planner C.R. Felip. PUBLIC HEARING: Mayor Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaws would now be considered: Bylaw No. 2800 To rezone: a. Lots 1, 2,3, and 4 . Block 5 District Lot 174 District Lot 174 Group One ‘Sroup One Plan 1879 Plan 9842 New Westminster District New Westminster District from RS-3 (Estate Residential) to P-1 (Public Institutional) The property is located at 2511 Pitt River Road and will permit the development of a Senior Secondary School. Correspondence was received from concerned residents of Country Park Estates, 2450 Hawthorne Avenue stating that they are willing to endorse this development provided that area concems are addressed. Correspondence was received from Mr. Joseph Mulligan, #208 - 2401 Hawthorne Avenue regarding his concems with increased traffic, noise, and litter. Mr. Bill Knight, 2450 Hawthorne expressed the desire to be fully involved in the development of his neighbourhood. Mr. W.Lynn, 2401 Hawthome expressed concern for advertising of the Public Hearing, as well as concerns regarding damage to landscaping, and increased traffic. Mr. M. Black, #304, 2401 Hawthome felt that the mailout for the Public Hearing was insufficient.
