City Engineer SUBJECT: COAST MERIDIAN ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROIECT PR AIRTR AVENUE ROAD RECONSTRUCTION FROJECT 1992 CAPITAL WORKS PROGRAM (Public Works Committee Meeting of June 16, 1992) N.D. Lea & Associates have been preparing the Engineering drawings and specifications for the Coast Meridian Road reconstruction project and the Prairie Avenue reconstruction project. As shown on the attached plans, the following improvements are incorporated into these projects: 1) Prairie Avenue ‘etween Cedar and Rae will be widened to four lanes complete with sidewalks on both sides and a two way bicycle path on the south side. Coast Meridian Road i) Coast Meridian Road from the lane south of Prairie to Dorset will be reconstructed, complete with new traffic signals. 2) A bicycie path will be constructed on Coast Meridian Road between Prairie Avenue and Dorset. Raised medians will be constructed on Coast Meridian Road and on Prairie near the intersection to prevent left curn movements into driveways close to the intersection.
