Hydro to make a presentation to the Public Works Committee in the

. resolution encouraging all future B. C. Hydro development to be
underground rather than above. ground. ee ae

reselution encouraging the Greater Vancouver Regional District,.
Technica. Advisory Committee to take a lead role in coordinating
the utility plans for all utilities and infra~structure throughout
the: lower mainland.

B.C. Hydro held an informational neeting on November 14,. 1990 regarding the
Lower Mainland Transmission Line Corridor and B.C. Hydro's plans for the
future. Copy of the agenda and sone promotional information is attached to
this report.

Some highlights of the meeting were:

B.C. Hydro's expectation is for electricity demand to double in the
next 20 to 25 years in the lower mainland.

B.C. Hydro plans to construct an additional 500 KVA line on

transwission towers from the interior to the lower mainland using
the current corridor.
