Carried. NEW BUSINESS: Alderman Traboulay advised two trucks had been parked on Coast Meridian at Manning Avenue on the weekend and asked that this be investigated. Alderman Wright advised the Aquafit program on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. had been cancelled several times due to private rental of the facilities. Alderman Mabbett stated the Leisure Activities Committee would look into this. Alderman Laking advised the Unemployment Insurance Commission have indicated it will be moving its Port Coquitlam offices to the Coquitlan Town Centre and he expressed his concern. Moved by Alderman Laking: ‘Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That the Federal Department of Public Works be advised that in regard to the proposed relocation of the Unemployment Insurance Commission's Port Coquitlam offices in the Coquitlam Town Centre that builders are available that will build to suit their needs on available land in the City of Port Coquitlam. Carried. Alderman Laking expressed concern regarding access to the Huntington Rubber Mill site and asked that poles be put on Davies Street to close the access route. Alderman Laking expressed his concern regarding the redesignation of the Industrial triangle at Dominion Avenue and the Lougheed Highway. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That the Greater Vancouver Regional District be advised that the City wishes the Dominion Avenue - Lougheed Highway - Pitt River triangle to remain designated as "Industrial - 1" in the Regional Plan.
