var under veckoskiftet Mr. och Mrs. Olof Granen från Seattle. De hade med sig sin nyligen födda dotter. Mrs. Granen var före sifT äktenskap Beatrice Rylander.
Mrs. Oscar Larson och sällskap från Seattle besökte Vancouver under sistlidna helgen och hälsade på hos bl. a. Mrs. C. Lundell, 306 Vernon Dr. och makarna Algot Swanson 1400 William St. Mrs. Larson, som är f. d. Vancouverbo, var på öppningsfesten i Svenska Parken i lördags och träffade där många gamla bekanta.
Genom drunkningsolycka har Francis Engström, skogsarbetare, omkommit i Fraser River, 40 miles norr om Quesnel.
En dotter föddes
på Vancouver General Hospital till Mr. och Mrs. Halt quist.

Den 24 maj 1952 vigdes i Vancouver Matthew Patrick Allen och Miss Helen Margaret Erickson, dotter till framlidna Mr. och Mrs. Alexander Erickson, Vancouver.
öppningsfesten i Svenska Parken
i lördags , den 24 maj, var väl besökt och blev en mycket njutbar dag för alla deltagare. Det bjöds på eft gott program med sång av Bellmankören, folkdanser vilka som alltid var ett nöje att se på, och dessutom en variation av intressanta programnummer. Dagen gynnades av det härligaste väder. På kvällen hölls det dans i paviljongen med god tillslutning. Detta var början till de danser, som nu kommer att pågå varje lördagskväll under sommarens lopp.

To the People of British Columbia:
all of you personally, I take this means to reach
Pushing aside all the exaggerations, distortions and mis-statements of facts made mostly for political purposes, I believe most people will agree with the following statements:—
We are the fastest growing Province in Canada.
2. Most people come here for greater opportunity, so our province must offer more than the place from which they came.
3. Our great experiment in Hospital Insurance drugs, X-Ray, physiotherapy, cardiographs, plasma and many other things that make up a
with its "all inclusive cost", blood tests, urine tests, blood hospital bill, is by far the most
humanitarian action ever taken by a provincial government in Canada.
4. Our wage rates per hour, day, week and month — conditions of employment — opportunity for work — length of the work week — working conditions — the I.C.A. Act and the W.C.B. Act — are the best in Canada.
The industrial output, the increase in basic industry— lumbering, fishing, mining, agriculture, the growth of manufacturing and services show the greatest percentage increase in Canada. Our development is tremendous.
In education, social services, hospitalizatiön — in all fields of health service — in pensions to the needy, the sick, the unemployable, the aged.

I believe every fair-minded and politically unbiased person who reads this letter will agree with this brief statement of undeniable facts. I appeal to you for your active, personal support in bringing about the continuance of British Columbia's development and progress to which our party is pledged.
